Doug Fine is a human resources leader with over 35 years of experience impacting the most vital ingredient in any organization, its people, both as a Naval Officer and in the hospital/healthcare industry. Wherever he has worked Doug put his best efforts towards making a positive difference in his organizations through the teams he led. He specializes in leadership training, consulting, and organization development, emphasizing work culture enhancement and training for high engagement by leaders and employees.
In March of 2019, Doug became an Independent Business Affiliate of DecisionWise, a full-service consulting firm from Springville, Utah. They have a variety of services to increase the effectiveness of organizations through engagement surveys, consulting, and leadership development. Doug is certified to facilitate their "ENGAGEMENT MAGIC® Training - a fun, engaging, and effective learning experience for both employees and managers which boosts their own engagement and creates an engaged culture.
In 2020 he began the D.FINED Engagement BookCast speaking with interesting and accomplished people who are positively passionately engaged in their lives and work. Most of his guests are book authors and others in the arts and business world.
Also, in 2020, Doug partnered with his friend, Dr. Timothy Williams Sr. in launching Two Friends Talk About Race videos and podcasts. These chats are dynamic conversational experiences to enhance a leader’s understanding for culture, race, and diversity.
Doug is a graduate-level adjunct professor at Webster University with a BA in Theology from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from Tulane University in New Orleans. Doug makes his home and blogs in Augusta, GA with his lovely and supportive wife, Trish. They have three adult sons, four cats, and two beagles.
